Bill, It is not an Elecraft choice. While you could do that as an individual, commercial products (sold in the US) must meet the FCC requirement of a 15 dB maximum gain That limits the maximum power gain to a factor of 31.62 - 10 watts in gives 316.2 watts (at the most) output.
