I am in the process of installing a KPA3 in my K3. I have reached the point where I have physically installed the KPA3. But when I turned on the K3 it no longer hears any signals. I did a little basic signal tracing by touching points in the signal path starting from the crystal filters as suggested by Elecraft in tracing down a bad solder joint earlier. I get increased noise all the the way to the junction of D5 and C194. Beyond that nothing. Activating Pre increases the noise but activating Att makes no changes.
Any suggestions before I call Elecraft tomorrow?
