I just received the CQ WW 160 DX contest certificate, for 1st SO qrp cw
Wyoming and #2 in 7th area...
seems to me that #2 works harder.. right?
I want to wish all the folks responsible for putting this together a Big Merry
Christmas, along with all the ops that
worked me too.
The rig was a K2, with a base loaded vertical, and a pair of 360ft EDZs at 50
foot.
This year, I am planning to use a different vertical, the same EDZs with one
more. Weather permitting for the installation between now and key down time.
Thank you to all that make it possible to have this much fun...
oh.. and BTW, there was no assistance from any skimmmer or internet based stuff
either. This way, I can continue to compete in a very uncrowded arena.. the one
that has me, and only me in it. I can compete with the different antennas and
changes in that system.. and the system between my left ear..and my right ear.
Then you see, I don't have to worry about some backhoe operator breaking my
connection, and causing a drop in score beyond my control, input, effect.
Just, simple, repeatable and trackable condition.
I'll be looking for you all this year too. Let's do this... and have fun, k?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
