Gary,
I have had a K3 for 2 years now (Serial # 934) and have found that getting this
rig was the best thing I ever did. You obviously have done your homework and
done it very well. Let me state that as a retired product support engineer and
technical instructor for a company that manufactures atomic partial
accelerators primarily for the semiconductor industry, supporting the product
you manufacture is just as important as properly designing it. Wayne and Eric
have not only put together a world class team for Elecraft, they also seriously
listen to their customers. Tell me about any Japanese ( and even some American)
companies that do that on a regular basis.

I have had the honor of working with Eric and his lovely wife at the
Marlborough, Ma. at the Elecraft booth during this year's ARRL Convention. He
is one of the most dedicated and helpful person I know. Having people like Eric
and Wayne creating a company dedicated entirely to Amateur radio equipment of
the finest quality and in kit form requires both expert design and a product
support team that continuously goes out of their way to make sure the customer
is listened to and properly taken care of.

Good luck on your choice of radio but I hope it is the K3.
