From Norman Zinn AAV5VW / KB8EEF I am please to report that my American made built from a kit Elecraft K3/100 transceiver with: KAT3 ATU KTCXO3-1 TCXO 1ppm f/w correction to 0.5 ppm, KXV3A RX Ant., IF Out and Xverter Interface KBPF3 K3 General Coverage RX Module KRX3 2nd RX KUSB Universal Serial Bus Adapter MH2 Hand held microphone has preformed nearly flawlessly for the past year with over 50 hours of air time a month . SSB voice and digital operation using sound card MixW modes , EasyPal, Winmor and also Winlink/Airmail using a PK-232 TNC MARS operation. I hope to encourage other MARS members to consider American made Elecraft over the yeakenicom offerings. My previous rig was a Heath SS-9000 transceiver which I ran for about 20 years and still have. I am powering my K3 with a Heath HP-1144A power supply which I used with my Heath SS-9000. The Heath SS-9000 is now my back-up rig. I would like see Elecraf make a stand alone VHF rig with serial port, audio I/O and PPT data conections . Also some time back I tried to post an over voltage circuit but the post was rejected.
