Bob, I'm sure you have done this already, but just in case you haven't, your K3 connects to your P3 with your serial cable and the baud rate on the K3 is fixed between the K3 and P3 at 34800b. Then you connect your PC serial cable to your P3 and with the P3 you can set the baud rate to what is needed for your PC. Once you have this set up per the manual instructions, the K3/P3 system will work correct.
