190 proof ethanol (grain alcohol) does cut rosin flux very well and is available at the local liquor store...It is EXPENSIVE, about $23 for 750 ml...99% Isopropyl alcohol is about $5 a pint at several Google listed sources...Jensen sells it at $15 a gallon...You cannot drink isopropyl, so it will last longer around the house...<G>
