I have the Model 101 Super Whatt Meter so I hooked mine up to see what it reads. I'm showing 0.0A with the switch off and 1.6A with the switch on and the P3 on.
Mine is an older model and measures the current on the negative side. If yours is the same I wonder if the current you're seeing could be ground related. 73, Alan N5NA Ralph Parker wrote: > > I thought I'd check to see how much current my K3/100 draws under various > operating condx (for battery powered QRP portable operation, etc.). > > What the heck is drawing 1.7 amps when the front panel power switch is > off? > > VE7XF > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[email protected] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > > -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K3-Power-puzzlement-tp5933999p5936509.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
