In the last few days I have had the following problem, which cures itself after the K3 has been on for 10-15 minutes. I am talking about TX Data mode. For my normal operation, LIN OUT is set at 08 to 10.
*This is the problem: *The receiver and transmitter section appear to behave normally, signals are received properly, and the gain controls work properly, but there is no audio on the Lin Out. Using Config -> Lin Out and resetting the level with VFO A has no effect. Examining the Lin Out output line via FFT (e.g. as in SpectraVue or FLDIGI) shows noise at the right level for the first 200-300 Hz from 0, but a rapid drop-off (to more negative values) of 25-30 dB for the rest of the passband. This is independent of "BAND." Normally, with the settings I use, the noise in the first 200-30 Hz is ~ -85 dB on SpectraVue's scale, with the passband noise around -65 dB. LO is at 0, HI at 2.95, FC at 1.50, using F1. The K3 is a K3/100-F Ser. No. 4103, running MCU 04.25, FPF 01.14, DSP1 02.71. It has the ATU and the KXV3A (factory) installed.
