Guy, The one on the new K2 I am building (arrived just last week) has the same knob from all appearances. The sharp edge is not a problem for those who use a finger alongside the knob for tuning, but for those of us who use a "thumb on the rim", the thumb get sore after a while. A rubber tire (broccoli band) is one cure.
