Yes, that is normal, DSP Bypass is not 'sticky' across a power off/on cycle.
That is why I remove the KDSP2 when doing a K2 filter alignment - it is 
just too inconvenient for me to deal with rapidly, it is quicker to 
remove it for the duration.
