Disregard my earlier post on this subject. I figured it out. If you move the VFO far enough to go beyond what you have the span set, it centers up the marker again. Hadn't noticed that before, but finally figured out why it would be off center at times and center up at others.
With the marker on, if you move the VFO, the marker stays on the previous frequency as a place holder so you can just tap the button and get back to where you were. Handy at times, but haven't found it mentioned in the book or release notes unless I just missed it.
