Matt, You are correct, there is a resettable fuse for the non-KPA3 power. And those resettable fuses operate quickly. Still a fuse near the power supply is a good idea to protect the wire - but if the power supply has current limiting, and that current limit is reasonable for the wire size, a fuse may not be necessary. Like everything else -- it all depends.
