The measurement is quite accurate, and the ADC reference is OK.  Sorry I didn't 
point that out originally.  I did get some data from Gary, which shows that his 
K3 current meter is much more accurate than mine.  

The meter accuracy itself isn't really important, but the error may be limiting 
output power, as the High Current error occurs at a lower current than intended.
