Hi Phil, I use a Yaesu MD-100 desk mic. I have removed it from the desk base and installed it in a condole mounted boom an use VOX, though I can also use the pushbutton on the mic itself. However, it works fine as a desk mic and has a push to talk button in the base. As I recall the up/down control functions on the MD-100 works with the K3.
The reports I get are good. If anything, the mic probably leans a little towards the base side. Is there a good quality mic that is recommended or preferred by K3 owners? I don't have any particular needs.
