Bill. The K3 connects to a computer thru a DB9 connector for RS-232 communication. The K3 and K2 share some of the commands. Take a look at the K3 programmers manual at http://www.elecraft.com/manual/K3_Pgmrs_Reference_Rev_C14.pdf.
