I've finally begun building my KX1, s/n 1005. It's been an easy build
thus far. I've just finished the receiver alignment. Elecraft, WHAT did
you put inside those components?!? With a 20' piece of wire (lying on
the floor) attached to the antenna jack center pin, I'm pulling in tons
of stations on 20 and 40m! Great sounding receiver! I've already built a
couple of K2's and a K1, and I have to say that this little KX1 is a gem!
