I've used a friend's SGC-230 in a mobile installation and been quite impressed with it. However, I'm not so impressed by the specs of the SGC-235. If I read them right, it's good for 500 watts only on SSB, for other modes it is only good for 200 watts and it does not cover 6m at all. I want to be able to run things like CW and RTTY at more than 200 watts (especially helpful for RTTY) so the SGC-235 just does not cut it. I assume the upcoming KAT-500 will not have such limitations.
