Currently there are 34 listings on e-bay for Oven Controlled Xtal Oscillators ranging from $14.99 to $359. But the majority of them run about $45. I found this with a search for OCXO 10 MHz.
This where I bought my OCXO ($39.95). +/- 5xE-12 (.000005ppm) Most run on 12vdc and output +10 dBm (10mw), perfect to supply the K3EXREF. Some require 24v. Many of the e-bay suppliers are free shipping. 73, Ed - KL7UW ------------------------------ Message: 23 Date: Thu, 14 Apr 2011 11:30:58 -0400 From: "Roy Morris" <[email protected]> Subject: [Elecraft] 10 Mhz Reference Oscillator To: <[email protected]> Message-ID: <52A0E5F859204408A4B036B8C7D2F51B@W4WFB> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Presently it seems that the Trimble Thunderbolt is the only reasonably priced reference oscillator available. When ordering one of these you are taking a chance as they are refurbished and shipped from China. Some of these units are better than others depending on serial number. Again, you are taking a chance with what is shipped to you. Since the K3EXREF is being offered, a logical next step would be to produce an external reference oscillator. I hope Elecraft is developing one. Is this wishful thinking?
