Yeah, just to prove those Italians on 40m really ARE 40 over 9... Stacked 5 element yagis and push-pull 3CX5000A's.
Will be interesting to see if the phase noise is low enough to allow us to run filter shapes down past -60 dB. Zero dB will allow me to use a tuned rubber duckie per band for precise pattern measurements and RX antenna sensitivity and null adjustments. Turn it on, haul it way up in a tree, and go make adjustments. Hope any auto turn off is an option. Also maybe a very slow beep for power saving. Maybe even <long bleep> .... <long bleep> K2AV/B 0. And then K2AV/B BATT when batt is low enough to drop out of calibration. Maybe even cycle 0, -33, -73... Isn't it awful how much new stuff we can dream up on top of a new release. :>) But I ordered mine, so I've paid the dues. 73, Guy On Thu, Apr 14, 2011 at 1:41 PM, Bill W4ZV <[email protected]> wrote: > > WHam727 wrote: >> >>>From www.elecraft.com : "1.5-1400 MHz; 1.5-200 MHz calibrated output > level. 12 frequency memories, computer controllable, -107, -73, -33 and 0 > dBm output levels >> > > In case anyone besides me wondered why the -33 dBm level was added, there's > an advanced RF gain calibration in the K3 Utility which uses -33 dBm (in > addition to -73 dBm) for even better linearity of the RF Gain (RX) control. > More details should follow when Dick K6KR returns from Visalia and updates > the K3 Utility. > > 73, Bill > > > > > -- > View this message in context: > http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/New-signal-generator-XG3-tp6270420p6273722.html > Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[email protected] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
