The dual receiver and low phase-noise receiver impressed me for application to eme. Tree answered many of my technical questions. At the time I had no idea I would/could ever own one. The Flex-5000 caught my eye around the same time. I was the first? ham in the world to get the new SDR-IQ (serial-002) in Jan. 2007, so SDR's were very much in my mind.
