Hi Bill, I have to admit that I did not have much to do with the QCWA cruises. I was President of QCWA when the first cruise occurred in 2001. That cruise involved 250 people on the Westerdam. We set up stations on a back deck. Carolyn, WB0OUM and I experienced our first cruise at that time! I do know that the QCWA arrangements were made by Larry McCalvy, WA9JMO. He worked with Holland America and the ship's Captain to get permission to operate on board. I think there was a QRP station operated from a state room during the cruise. We have had 3 cruises and lots of good experiences with Holland America. The ship even provide assistance in setting up the equipment. More info if desired off the reflector. 73, Gary Harrison, K0BC QCWA Director ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
