QRQ mode, as Brendan points out, makes a BIG difference in how QSK sounds, even 
at slower 
speeds. But it also significantly improves the quality of sent CW at speeds as 
low as 33 
wpm. At 36 wpm it's very easy to tell when QRQ mode is on. This is the case 
with either an 
internal or external keyer.

These are not 'ridiculous speeds'. It wouldn't surprise me if there are more 
operators who 
regularly send 35 wpm than there are who use AM!
