I just hooked a hand held Heil with the IC element I just purchased. I got this one as I liked the performance of the Heil headseat with this element that I purchased with the rig from Elecraft.
Now after getting it connected it seems like a dead mic compared to the headseat. I have cranked up the gain from low to high and I still need the mic line in setting at 45. The original head set needed low gain and the line in set to 10 for full ALC action. Also the power meeter on the tuner shows lower power with this mic.
