I suggest you use my pivot idea, it's too much leverage to directly fit the f/g pole directly into the screw anchor: cut a short length of 3" drain pipe and cross drill with holes for the pivot near one end. Fix 2 ground anchors about 4" apart (edge to edge) or closer and fit the metal tube between the 2. A detachable handle is supplied with the anchor and this I use as the pivot. Put the f/g pole into the 3" tube and raise against 2 fixed guys, front and back; the pivot restricts movement on that axis. If it's really windy, fix another couple of guys. I use 2mm poly rope. The whole thing is strong and lightweight. Mine is the DuoFix and they are all-plastic.
73 David G3UNA Thanks, I'm looking for something my DK9SQ mast might stand upright in without much need for guying and I want to be able to take it out of the ground again. The firreglasee telescopic mast has a 55mm bottonm section dia. 73 de M0XDF -- > I've picked up several types over the years. A couple are all-metal.
