To test out this new built KX1, I send out a few dit dah and put my Sony multiband receiver on the same frequency 7001.00 about eight feet away from the KX1. but the Sony receiver only gets a faint signal, I'm just beginning with CW and as yet never sent or received a signal from anyone.
