I don't think you want to take the speed below 10 wpm. If you can't copy at that speed, increase the space between the letters. If the letters themselves are too slow, they can be hard for others to copy. Increasing the spacing between letters will give you time to "compose" the next letter and will signal operators not to squirt 20 wpm back at you
