"Missing" means that the required files are not in the firmware folder that you've chosen. See "Troubleshooting Missing Files" in K3 Utility Help.
I'd try pressing the "default" button on the K3 Utility's firmware page and then click the "Copy New Files from Elecraft" button. I just now erased all the files in my default firmware folder and fetched them all again from Elecraft's file server, so it works at least from here... Do you get any FTP error messages when you click "Copy New Files from Elecraft"?
