Things are working fine now. Thanks to those who responded. A suspicion arose re: those who use ATT/Yahoo. If anyone knows what the solution was I would like to know.
Parenthetically, I would like to add that before this all started I did two updates. One was a Flash update and one was a Windows 64 bit upgrade. The Flash upgrade "seemed" to have cause a problem with pop up/widgets on ATT/Yahoo and Transparent Languages Word of the Day sites. I rolled back to my restore point before those upgrades and the problems with the widgets/pop ups disappeared. Lastly, it should be noted, that before the email from the reflector became functional, the ability to log on and change options was fixed. There was at least a 24 hour delay before the email started showing up again.
