However, charging them properly (maintaining equal voltage in each of the cells of the battery bank) is, I think, more of a design hassle for a portable rig like the KX3 -- or whether suitably small Lithium Iron Phosphate cells are even available.
I expect that the Ele-team has made a good choice given the present state of the art.
