I have one of these although it's not part of my station and I've pretty much 
(thankfully) forgotten the tribulations of getting it configured.

I believe the latest firmware on the website is v1.5.

I have v 1.6 sent to me as a text file.  As I recall it fixed something or the 
other that was a bug in the earlier version.

As you say, it would take an exceptionally loving mother to love this.

If you want this file, I'll sent it via email for you to try.  No warranty 
expressed or implied.
