What would the KX2 do that the KX3 doesn't offer?

The KX3 offers many features and functions that would not be available on a
miniaturized K2 since the K2 was designed as an analog radio (the DSP was a
later addition that replaced the optional analog audio filter originally
designed for that spot).

>From Wayne's description, many of the DSP-based functions developed for the
K3 are being included in the KX3, hence the numbering makes good sense to
me.

We've seen the K1, K2, and K3.
We've also seen the KX-1 and now there's a KX3 coming.
Any idea of what happened to the KX-2?
