I bought a MacNally PodWave iPod stereo speaker at Fry's for $29 today.
It fits in the KX1 and doesn't touch the BNC connextor. The sound is
not as loud as the $13 Radio Shack mono amplified speaker, ehich can
overdrive the speaker.
The main feature is that it is a lot smaller. It fits in my waist pack,
which the RS speaker didn't. It uses a single AA.
I wouldn't recommend it for home use, but it is good for portable use,
when you don't want to share your ear buds, hi hi.
For the car, I use one of those FM transmitters that works with the car
radio.
