Good Evening,
    The snow of yesterday has turned into the hail of today.  Still cold;
high of only 47 degrees F but there were actual minutes of sun (if one
adds up the spots here and there). My forecast does have a few 50 degree
days later in the week but not much in the way of steady sun and no
promise of any warm days. The wood pile should hold up until late July at
this point so I better get busy cutting firewood for the rest of the
summer. Maybe twenty cords is a good number for this year too.

According to the word on the street (aka the 'test results) propagation
has not been the best. This same thing has been effecting ECN for quite
some time. Forty meters only lands two to five folks a week. Twenty
meters does get a few more but I am still not logging very many folks. I
wish I could find an alternate NCS in the Midwest. That would help to see
if any one is interested and I cannot hear them. It could be that
interest in ECN has waned to the point where I should consider ceasing
activity. Who can tell?

If anyone is interested in acting as a relay station on either net
please email me. I will turn the net over to you for a few minutes so you
can call areas in my skip zone. It sure would prove helpful to those I
cannot reach directly.

Please join us tomorrow afternoon and evening.

1) Hail signs (first letter or two of the suffix of your call)
