I think my RCA 44 or '77 or my Altec 639A would sound too mushy. I'm trying to fix a Telefunken U-47 for a friend, but I wouldn't dare use it. A friend gave me a Northern Electric carbon stand mic (looks like a candelstick telephone but has a PTT switch) - now THAT might get some attention!
