At Dayton, I asked that question and was told "less than $800 base" for the "screwdriver kit" KX3 that will be available by the end of 2011.
For comparison, May QST quotes the upgradeable 10W model of the K3 at $1499. 73, Paul W8TM K7DNP asked: Does anyone have a cost guess?
