Hi All, I replaced D16 and D17 on the KPA100 board and all is back to normal.
I'm still stumped how I managed to cook them. Just in case I ever have to do this repair again, I mounted the diodes on the underside of the board. There's plenty of clearance. When mounted on top of the board, they're tucked away in a tricky to access spot and I found removing the old diodes the most difficult part of the repair. Next time it'll be easier to get at them and to pull them out from underneath. 73, John VK7JB -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/K2-100-Hi-Curr-and-loss-of-power-control-help-de-VK7JB-tp6485865p6489828.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
