Steve, If that resistor has a blue body and has a total of 5 bands rather than the more usual 4, it is a 1% resistor and the color code is brn, blk, blk, blk - the 5th band will also be brown indicating the 1% tolerance (tolerance band is gold on 5% resistors and silver on 10%), and it is proper for R32.
There is a 10 ohm 5% resistor in the kit too, and it should go into the R23 holes. Dyslexics should beware <G>.
