Jerry,

The best way to recover is to remove the plastic from the P1 body and 
then remove the pins from the board one at a time.  You may be able to 
slide the plastic bar off, but if not, break it with your cutters.
Clean up with solder wick, and if solder remains in the holes, a heated 
stainless steel needle or a wooden toothpick can be used to open the holes.

Before doing all that, an email to [email protected] with the part 
number should have a new connector on its way to you.
