I have M1-M4 programmed so that they do the same function for both TAP and HOLD. That capability really helps me for the several functions I use often.
I knew when I ordered the K3 that I did not care for the alternate key operations but I did not realize that M1-M4 would be so useful to overcome the normal behaviour of other buttons. I never touch either the BAND or MODE buttons (since I use the key pad for band selection). Once I get the KPA-500 I will try to position it where I can use the BAND select buttons to simplify band selection even more.
