I noticed that after i connected the preamp into the back of my K3 that it
works fine and things i couldn't hear before now come up out of the noise. It
also is an ARR unit. But if i turn on the 2nd RX then i get a very loud frying
noise. I have to trun off the external preamp in order to hear anything.. If
i run just the internal preamp i don't have that problem. What this does to me
is that i can't listen to one receiver in the CW portion of the band and the
other receiver in the phone band with the external Preamp at the same time.
Not that i do it a lot but times are that it is convenient. What i've been
doing as a workaround is just set on rx in the SSB portion and one in the CW
portion and swap back and forth with the A/B key. Does anyone else have this
problem? Maybe there is something wrong internally in the radio or is this
normal?
