Help needed by myself a self confessed technical idiot. Hi All I am having a problem with my K3 when I built it last December I did so with the KAT3 auto tuner built in. It has worked fine for me since then until about a week ago when for some reason it changed its mind. Now when I press ATU TUNE button on the front of the K3 the following happens ,, the KAT3 whirrs and clicks like it is tuning but I no longer get the SWR readout on the screen instead I get 2 -- marks also when I TX the rig TxX light illuminates red but apparently no carrier is TX'd.
I have tried several time to call colleagues that I know can usually hear me, I have heard them but they are no longer RX'ing me. I have searced the manual but can find no symptom in it let alone a cure so guys I am open to suggestions. Yes the KAT3 is set to Auto. Yes it makes all the right noises. Yes I have tried different antenna's. Yes I have tried different Coax's. Yes I have tried resetting the KAT3 and waiting the 5 second however after doing so nothing seems to happen at all Yes I have tried both Ant 1 and Ant 2. It just don't seem to work.
