Oh boy. Another example of extrapolating from inadequate data :- ) Sorry, Jack, I'm not likely to "upgrade" as I'm having too much fun stealing the bacon from QRO stations in contests. Gotta have some compensation from being run over by ??kW trucks.
I was just pointing out that it would be more cost effective to do the two units bit, and keep the existing K2 as a QRP only box. Gotta feeling it may be a while before I hear the end of this :-) I'll be trying the NS practice run tonight before I box up the station for FD. Hope to see you there. 73, Bob N6WG -----Original Message----- From: Jack Brindle [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, June 23, 2005 10:31 AM To: Robert Tellefsen; Jason Hissong; [email protected] Subject: RE: [Elecraft] 2 K2s? Mr QRP-ONLY himself, N6WG, actually stating that he would even consider a rig that can push more than 15 watts is a major news item! Go for it, Bob. After all you have done with 5 watts, it would be a very interesting experiment to see if you could do any better with a few more watts. With your proven capabilities and antenna system, I have a feeling that 100 watts would give about the same results as the 5 you have been running for years! Still, actually stating that you would "opt" for more power is cataclysmic. The "big one" must be about to his San Andreas!!! :-) :-) :-) -Jack Brindle, W6FB ======================================================================= _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
