The USCG shut down LORAN-C last year, and the Middletown CA station no 
longer overloads everything, regardless of the filters.  It was huge 
here in Auburn, maybe 130 km or a bit more, at night running close to 
-20 dBm, sometimes stronger.  I was hearing its products weakly on 160 
... not kidding, bigger signal than some local 50KW AM stations.

I have the KBPF3, or whatever it is called, and I hear down to 500 KHz 
just fine.  Even copied a couple of the XSH stations near the Holy 
Frequency.
