The USCG shut down LORAN-C last year, and the Middletown CA station no longer overloads everything, regardless of the filters. It was huge here in Auburn, maybe 130 km or a bit more, at night running close to -20 dBm, sometimes stronger. I was hearing its products weakly on 160 ... not kidding, bigger signal than some local 50KW AM stations. I have the KBPF3, or whatever it is called, and I hear down to 500 KHz just fine. Even copied a couple of the XSH stations near the Holy Frequency.
