K3 Serial 2554: K2 Serial 868. Very, very soft pops (start-up and shut-off) here on the K3; much softer than the pops on the K2. The pops on both radios (internal speaker or headphones) are considerably softer than the sound volume when signal reception starts. I do not have an external speaker connected to either radio. I had not regarded this as a problem, and still do not.
