I love old gear. I have lots. But it does take some maintenance and time and tender loving care. Yes there is great audio and lots of knobs to twiddle. But you wonder, with the complexity of some of the old radios, why the MTBF isn't 10 seconds. Still when puttering in the shack, I turn on my HQ-180 and listen to talk radio. Just moving those darn old timers is getting harder.
