running XP with service pack 3; using a serial port ( no usb converter ). There were no other COM ports or USB ports or other programs in use at the time.
Never having had a com port issue, and using the new Utility, then getting a failure, then seeing someone else having the same problem .... just thought I'd mention it. Have no idea why it would quit uploading in the middle of an MCU transfer. However, I finally did get it to take after a few tries: think shutting off the computer and rig and restarting did the trick. Another consideration .... the computer has been around the block a few times. Trouble free except for a power supply .... but .... getting on in years just like the operator.
