Two alternatives.  Try the first one first, the second one second.

1. After POWER OFF, removing power forces the K3 through a form of
hard reset at next POWER ON.  Leave power removed for 30 seconds or
so, then reconnect and POWER ON.  With this type of reset, you
obviously won't lose any memories or your configuration.  Don't remove
power for a few seconds after POWERing OFF, so that your last VFO,
etc. is remembered.

2. For a factory hard reset, look for the EEINIT or EE INIT procedure.
This puts your K3 in factory settings, so be sure and save memories
and configuration using the K3 utility, _before_ EE INIT'ing.  You'll
also need to re-run calibrations and (?) possibly re-install add-ons.
I'm not sure of the latter, because it's been a long time since I EE
INIT'ed K3 #24.
