In my opinion MacLoggerDx is not the best if you are a DX'er. Especially if you are a K3 user.
RUMLog is far better for sorting cluster spots and for keeping track of countries worked and confirmed on LoTW or paper. Also, for doing one-click uploads and downloads to LoTW. RUMLog also has an excellent K3 panel that checks many functions of the radio and lets you directly access the M1-M8 memories and set up a bunch of macros. It also lets you access the K3 keyer for CW or the direct RTTY functions of the K3. I have not found a better program for the Mac than RUMLog for color coding incoming spots (on several clusters) and quickly letting you figure out your status for a DXCC entity. For casual operating MacLoggerDX is great but for the DX'er with a K3 RUMLog is better. IMHO. BTW, I have used both for 5+ years.
