It is good that you chaps in the USA are having a whale of a time working T32C (and it is just a stone's throw from VK land...). But it is a different kettle of fish from northern Europe where the path passes straight through the auroral circle (both short and long path). I have been trying very hard in the past few days to even hear them and apart from a brief showing just above noise on Saturday I have heard absolutely zilch.
The chaps with beams have been working them, all bands, but I have no information about anybody with low wire antennas doing so yet. Yesterday evening I heard they were on 10m CW and listened - not a trace of them, but I did QSO VE7SV at good signals. Similarly everywhere else I have listened, not just weak but simply not there. QRP or not, I am obviously not going to work them if I cannot hear them. Hoping things improve in the next couple of weeks, and maybe the auroral circle will decrease in size, and I will have a QSO. But things certainly don't look good at the moment. 73 Dave G3YMC 233 QRP countries on K2 #2498 On 5 Oct 2011 at 7:22, Jeff Cochrane - VK4BOF wrote: > Try long path on 10 & 20M David, > It's been working pretty well from the pacific to the UK / northern > europe. > > 73 de > Jeff Cochrane - VK4BOF http://www.davesergeant.com ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
